Winter's Last Attack

Ryan walked in the door afterschool today with a 103.4 fever. He's got some Ibuprofen in him now, so he seems a lot better for now. Regardless, he'll have to stay home from school tomorrow which means I need to wipe tomorrow's busy day clean. That means no gym for me. No dentist for Ryan. No tumbling for Chloe. No Tiger Scouts for Ryan. And if he's still sick on Friday? One of us will have to miss Ashley's first Volleyball Tournament.

Maybe we can reschedule this bout of illness until next winter, because I certainly don't have time for it to run it's course through our whole entire family now. If anyone needs me, I'll be in the corner doing shots of Emergen C and spraying anyone who dares to come near me with Lysol.

So sorry to hear about Ryan, that's a nasty illness with a temp like that.

Ya know something Lynda, you're a pretty funny woman!!!

Keep us abreast of the health situation at your house (and I hope you don't come down with it, not even a slight version).

Aw, poor Ryan! I hope he feels better soon and that the rest of you stay healthy.

LoL. Thanks, Mamaflo. My husband is one of the funniest people I know and his sense of humor rubs off on me. Laughter and humor is the way I often deal with stress.

Ryan seems to be doing ok. He's been acting normal since his fever broke. If he makes it through the night with no fever, I may just send him to school tomorrow after all. For him, missing one day of school is like one of his peers missing 3 days.

I'm in the corner doing Jell-o shot... oh, wait, that's different, isn't it? Anyway, I do hope it passes right on by you all.

His fever spiked again last night. Looks like he's home with mom today.

i hate when my kids are sick, but if i had my say in it, a fever w/ no other symptoms is the way to go! it just kind of knocks 'em down a notch, if you know what i mean! :-) hope he's feeling better by morning! Em
