Ryan got his hearing aids two weeks ago and is doing very well with them. There has been no adjustment period at all, which has really surprised us. I think it must be amazing for him to finally be able to hear what we hear. It took a few years to figure out what was going on with him, but I think we finally have our answer. He couldn't wait to show them to all of his friends at school the first day he wore them there. Later that night when I talked to his teacher, she said she was pretty sure that every one of the kids in his class were going to go home and ask for their own set of hearing aids. Aren't kids just so darn cute?
