Conversations That Leave You Baffled
Me: Pretty soon we'll be leaving for Florida, Buddy! Are you getting excited?
Ryan: Yes.
He's not acting very excited. Surely, I'm not the only one who's having a hard time controlling my excitement!
Me: We're going to get to fly in an airplane, swim in the ocean, play on the beach, spend a day or two at Busch Gardens and go to a Devil Rays baseball game!
Ryan: Cool. When do we go to Grand Bear with Brooke and Mitchell?
Me: Um, next month. About a week before school starts back up.
Ryan: YIPPEE! I CAN'T WAIT! IT'S GOING TO BE SO MUCH FUN! AWESOME! I LOVE GRAND BEAR!
Hmm. Maybe we should be taking his cousins with to Florida. Then maybe he'd be as excited.

Haha! That's great! I'm sure he'll lighten up and enjoy himself anyway.
Aw, kids are funny that way, aren't they? It's surprising sometimes which things are a hit and which things you thought would be are met with little enthusiasm. Still, it's good that he enjoys hanging out with his cousins.
